2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website may store on your device when you visit it.

Websites can use cookies for different purposes, including operating essential functionality, maintaining security, remembering preferences, measuring how a website is used and supporting advertising or other tracking.

Websites may also use similar technologies, such as local storage or other browser-based storage.

3. How Golf Draw Radar uses cookies

Golf Draw Radar aims to use cookies and similar technologies only where they are useful for operating and improving the service.

Golf Draw Radar does not use advertising or marketing cookies.

We use session storage to remember the competitions you select to compare while you use the website. This functional storage stays in your browser and is cleared when the browser session ends. It is not used for analytics, advertising or marketing.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page-visit, search-use, comparison-start and operator-link click reporting. Vercel states that its Web Analytics service does not use third-party cookies. Our custom events use only a search source and result count, or the operator identifier and competition identifier.

Where cookies or similar technologies are technically necessary for security, hosting or operation of the website, they may be used without being used to track you for advertising or marketing purposes.

If our use of cookies or similar technologies changes, we will update this Cookie Policy and introduce appropriate choices or consent controls where required.

4. Strictly necessary technologies

Some websites require cookies or similar technologies in order to provide core functionality, maintain security or deliver requested services.

Where Golf Draw Radar uses strictly necessary technologies, they are used only for purposes required to operate or protect the service.

Apart from the comparison session storage described above, we do not use material first-party cookies or other browser storage for advertising or marketing.

5. Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how Golf Draw Radar is used. This includes page visits and the number of times visitors select an operator competition link.

The service is configured without personal custom event properties. We send only a search source and result count, or an operator identifier and competition identifier. We do not send names, email addresses, IP addresses or search text as custom event properties.

Vercel states that its Web Analytics service does not use third-party cookies. We will review this position and update this Cookie Policy, including providing any controls required by applicable law, if the technology or requirements change.

6. Advertising and affiliate tracking

Golf Draw Radar does not currently use advertising cookies or affiliate-tracking cookies on the website.

If affiliate tracking is introduced in future, we will update this Cookie Policy and provide appropriate information and controls where required.

This section does not replace any separate commercial or affiliate disclosure that may be required when affiliate links are introduced.

7. Third-party websites

Golf Draw Radar contains links to websites operated by prize-draw operators and other third parties.

Competition images may be loaded directly from an operator's website. When this happens, the operator may receive the image request and may use its own security technologies, including cookies, to serve the image. Some operators use Cloudflare security or waiting-room cookies for this purpose.

When you follow a link to a third-party website, that website may also use its own cookies or similar technologies. Golf Draw Radar does not control third-party technologies or cookies.

You should review the relevant third party's cookie and privacy information for details of how it uses these technologies.

8. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Most browsers allow you to:

  • see what cookies are stored;
  • delete cookies;
  • block some or all cookies; and
  • change how websites are allowed to use cookies.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies can affect whether some websites function correctly.

Because Golf Draw Radar does not currently use a cookie preference centre, we do not provide one. If the technical position or applicable requirements change, appropriate controls can be introduced.

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if the technologies used by Golf Draw Radar change or where legal or regulatory requirements change.

The latest version will be published on this page and the Last updated date will be updated accordingly.
