2. Information we collect

You do not need to create an account or provide personal information simply to browse Golf Draw Radar.

We may collect the following information.

Information you provide to us

If you use our support form, we collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • the category of your enquiry; and
  • the message you send us.

We use this information to receive, investigate and respond to your enquiry.

Technical information

When you use Golf Draw Radar, our website, hosting infrastructure and aggregate analytics service may process standard technical information associated with requests to the website, such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • pages or resources requested;
  • date and time of requests; and
  • technical information required for security, diagnostics and operation of the website.

We do not currently require users to create Golf Draw Radar accounts. Our analytics is configured for aggregate reporting and does not use custom event properties that identify you.

3. How we use your information

We may use personal information to:

  • receive and respond to support enquiries;
  • investigate reports about competition information displayed on Golf Draw Radar;
  • operate, maintain and secure the website;
  • diagnose technical problems;
  • prevent or investigate misuse, abuse or security incidents;
  • understand, in aggregate, how pages and operator links are used so we can improve the service; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not currently use support-form information for marketing.

4. Our lawful bases

UK data-protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for processing personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:

Legitimate interests — where processing is reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve Golf Draw Radar, respond to enquiries and investigate problems reported to us, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

Legal obligation — where we need to process information to comply with a legal requirement.

Consent — where we specifically ask for your consent for a particular use of your information.

If we introduce services in future that require a different lawful basis, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

5. Support enquiries and email

When you submit the Golf Draw Radar support form, the information you provide is sent to our support email system so that we can review and respond to your enquiry.

We currently use:

  • Resend to deliver support-form messages; and
  • Microsoft 365 to receive and manage support email.

These service providers may process personal information on our behalf where necessary to provide their services.

When we reply to an enquiry, our response may be sent from [email protected].

6. Sharing your information

We may share personal information with service providers that help us operate Golf Draw Radar, such as providers of:

  • website hosting, infrastructure and aggregate analytics;
  • email delivery and email services;
  • website security; and
  • other technical services required to operate the website.

We only share information where reasonably necessary for the relevant service.

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order or a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

7. International data transfers

Some of the service providers we use may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will rely on appropriate safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism where required by applicable data-protection law.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including where necessary to respond to enquiries, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes or comply with legal obligations.

Support enquiries and related correspondence will normally be retained for a reasonable period after the enquiry has been resolved and then deleted when they are no longer required.

Technical and security information may be retained for shorter periods appropriate to operational, diagnostic and security needs.

We will review our retention practices as Golf Draw Radar develops.

9. Cookies and analytics

Golf Draw Radar may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the website to operate securely and correctly.

We use session storage to remember the competitions you select to compare while you use the website. It is not used for analytics, advertising or marketing.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure page visits and aggregate engagement events, including search use, comparison starts and operator-link clicks. Our custom events contain only a search source and result count, or factual operator and competition identifiers. They do not contain names, email addresses, IP addresses or search text.

Vercel states that its Web Analytics service does not use third-party cookies and provides aggregate reporting rather than analytics tied to individual visitors. We will keep this position under review and provide appropriate information and controls if our use of analytics or applicable requirements change.

Further information about the cookies and similar technologies used by Golf Draw Radar will be provided in our Cookie Policy.

10. Third-party websites

Golf Draw Radar contains links to websites operated by prize-draw operators and other third parties.

Competition images may be loaded directly from the relevant prize-draw operator's website. When this happens, the operator receives a standard image request, including your IP address and browser technical information, and may use its own security technologies, including cookies, to serve the image.

When you follow a link to another website, that website is responsible for its own handling of personal information.

We do not control the privacy practices of third-party websites, and you should review their privacy information where appropriate.

11. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to:

  • request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask us to erase your information in certain circumstances;
  • ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances;
  • object to certain processing;
  • request the transfer of certain information where applicable; and
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

These rights are not absolute and may depend on the circumstances and the lawful basis on which information is processed.

To exercise your rights or ask a privacy question, contact:

[email protected]

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are concerned about how your personal information has been handled.

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no internet service or method of electronic communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Golf Draw Radar develops or where our data-processing practices or legal requirements change.

The latest version will be published on this page and the Last updated date will be updated accordingly.
